Visionary Founder: Robert M. Smith established Successful Software—now eIS Business Solutions—in 1991 to help mid‑market organizations harness emerging technologies to drive business performance. As Chief Solution Architect he continues to guide the firm’s strategic direction and remains hands‑on with client projects, ensuring each solution delivers practical, measurable results.

Diverse Industry Insight: Robert’s career spans client service at Merrill Lynch, finance roles in high‑tech manufacturing, process documentation for the Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers, and microcomputer‑based accounting system implementations at Ernst & Young. This breadth enables him to translate complex requirements into realistic ERP roadmaps across industries.

Academic & Professional Credentials: Robert holds a bachelor’s degree that combines accounting, computer programming and psychology, along with advanced studies in computer programming at Fairleigh Dickinson and Monmouth Universities. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) and maintains multiple Microsoft certifications in Dynamics GP, CRM and related technologies. His interdisciplinary background allows him to bridge finance, technology and organizational psychology in advisory engagements.

Client‑Centric Leader: Known for his client‑focused approach and problem‑solving DNA, Robert collaborates with owners, executives and project teams to map business processes, design system architectures and oversee implementations that support strategic growth.
